Dr. Hannah Scott is an associate professor in the Faculty of Criminology, Justice, and Policy Studies. Her current interests are in the areas of victimology, gender issues, homicide, criminological theory and statistics. She also has a keen interest in CPTED and Organized Crime and has been trained by Dr. Timothy Crowe, author of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design: Applications of Architectural Design and Space Management Concepts (2nd Edition 2000, National Crime Prevention Institute). She has worked on several grants and projects using CPTED, including safety audits for the Memphis Housing Authority in Memphis Tennessee under the Strategic Approaches to Community Safety Initiative (SACSI) federal initiative as part of a grant from the National Institute of Justice in the United States.
