The Domestic Violence Death Review Committee report recommended that intimate-relationship violence education and awareness is a necessity to be done in a culturally competent manner, using multiple strategies and approaches.
Launched last summer, the Neighbours, Friends and Families campaign is a project that's initiated and funded by the provincial government. The campaign is to raise awareness of the signs of woman abuse so that people who are close to an at risk woman or an abusive man can help and those at risk have access to the support they need.
